Private Dinner Party, Emma, Jimmy and Friends, Bournemouth


This weekend was a long awaited return visit to cater for Emma and Jimmy in Bournemouth. After having been private chef for Emma at her sister's private dinner/hen party in Lymington a few years back it was a pleasure to cook for everyone for a different celebration as this time around we were helping commemorate Jimmy's birthday at their lovely home in Dorset. On the evening, we served up three delicious courses with some delicious canapes to start the evening off. There were plenty of gin cocktails going around with the canapes and they continued on through each course! Going particularly well with the gin and juniper cured salmon, I think I had  a favourite dish of the day :) Absolutely fabulous evening in Bournemouth, adding to our repertoire of super dinner parties!

Gin, beetroot and juniper cured salmon,
beetroot, soused fennel, cucumber, 


Pan seared fillet of British beef, slow braised brisket and red wine pie,
fondant potato, glazed carrots, Autumn greens, red wine gravy,


Trio of Desserts:
Salted caramel and walnut chocolate brownie, peanut butter and chocolate ice-cream
Caramelized plum and stem ginger bake-well tart, 
"Burnt" orange and Grand Marnier baked cheese cake.
