ChefGary Caters for Winchester Private Dinner Party


This weekend, ChefGary catered a superb three course dinner party near Winchester, celebrating a baby shower for Tracy and her friends. Upon receiving a warm welcome and settled with a good coffee, I was left setting up everything for the evening whilst the gentlemen of the house were being shipped off out :) We always start with laying the table and then the food prep comes out, which mostly just needs finishing off after many hours of preparation before arrival. We had shared platters of canapes to start off and then a further four delectable courses followed at the dining table - all going down fabulously! It was most definitely a rewarding evening and I shall look forwards to the next one :)

To Begin:

Garlic and chilli marinated King prawn, chorizo, roasted red pepper, balsamic 


Leek and potato soup, crisp pancetta croutons, chorizo oil


Palette cleanser:

Passion fruit sorbet



Seared sirloin of British beef, Dijon and white wine cream sauce, Dauphinoise potatoes, glazed carrots, saute greens


To Finish:

Trio of desserts:
Elderflower and strawberry jelly
Lemon curd and raspberry Eton mess
Salted caramel and walnut chocolate brownie.
