This weekend, ChefGary traveled to Surrey to cook for a fabulous foursome celebrating their friendship with a delicious dinner. Enjoyed in the comfort of their own home, we prepared canapes and four courses, serving up some of my favourite ingredients cooked with the utmost of passion and pride. As always, all food along with crockery and cutlery and of course, the friendly service was included. Some delicious wines were supplied by the hosts which I was very lucky enough to be able to sample at the table towards the end of dinner. It was another hugely rewarding dinner party, with all engaging in some intelligent, though mostly comical and congenial conversation :)


Chef's decadent selection of canapes


Cream of wild mushroom and truffle soup, toasted walnuts


Ham hock and pulled chicken terrine,
Pickled vegetables, Confit duck egg yolk, Hollandaise


 Pan roasted sirloin, pulled ox cheek and short rib cottage pie,
roasted carrots, green beans, red wine gravy


Trio of desserts:
Vanilla and honeyomb creme brulee
Burnt orange and cointreau cheesecake, ginger crumb, toffee sauce
Apple tarte tatin, vanilla ice cream.
