This weekend, we travelled to Portchester to cater a three course dinner party menu for John and family. Being a second vist after cooking for everyone a few years back, it was delightful to be asked to do so again and return to their familiar homely kitchen. Receiving a very warm welcome back, we unpacked and set up for a superb dinner ahead. Canapes were served outside on the terrace in the evening sun, before moving back into the dining room for three more delightful and delicious plates of food. All courses went down superbly and it was a pleasure to serve such fabulous food for such convivial and genial guests.

To Begin:

Confit of crisp pork belly and garlic and chilli King prawn, 
chorizo, red pepper and chilli dressing, balsamic, rocket, 

Main-Course:

Plate of roast lamb:
Pan seared rosemary marinated rump, roast cutlet, braised shoulder of mutton,
baby new potatoes, broad beans, peas, lamb gravy,

To Finish:

Trio of Desserts:
Whiskey and marmalade cheesecake, toffee sacue,

Meringue, raspberry and lemon curd "mess"
xxx
Salted caramel and walnut chocolate brownie, peanut butter ice cream.
